the employers that candidates have selected to show their
information. In submitting information candidates consent to WCN
processing and distributing worldwide their personal information
(including any Sensitive Personal Information candidates have chosen
to include) for consideration of employment opportunities within the
employers they have selected. In submitted information recruiters
consent to WCN processing and distributing worldwide for their own and
candidates' use. World Careers Network plc system are audited by
external security consultants to ensure that information is only
accessed by candidates and their selected employers.

Sensitive Personal Information includes but is not limited to
information of the following type

All information is physically located within the UK. Candidates
and selected employers can access this information via the Internet
from anywhere in the world.

It is in the first instance the candidate's and employer's
responsibility to ensure the information is accurate. Thereafter it
is World Careers Network plc responsibility to maintain the accuracy
of the data. World Careers Network plc undertake a number of measures
to maintain the integrity of the data.

In this manner the continued accuracy of candidate and employers
records is maintained.

How long is the information retained?

Information is retained for an indefinite time. Employers usually
archive the information annually.

Do users have access to their information collected by the Web site?

How does this Web site handle disputes about collected data?

All information is processed and disputes resolved in a manner
consistent with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Please send all requests to info@wcn.co.uk. Requests shall be
acknowledged within three working days.

Requests shall be targeted for resolution to the satisfaction of the
Subscriber within seven working days.

If the personnel working on resolving the dispute are unable to do so
within seven working days, then the dispute will be referred to a
senior representative of World Careers Network plc and, if applicable,
to a senior representative of the other party who shall co-operate in
good faith to resolve the dispute.

If the senior representatives are unable to resolve the dispute
within 48 hours then the dispute will be referred to or, if no such
committee exists, then to a committee comprising three appointed
senior representatives of each party which shall consider and use all
reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute within an additional 72 hour
period (or such other period as the parties may agree). And
If after 6 days the dispute is not resolved, either party shall be
entitled to initiate legal or other dispute resolution proceedings,
save that either party shall be entitled at any time, without recourse
to the above escalation procedure, to seek injunctive relief in
relation to any misuse of its intellectual property rights or
confidential information.

In return for the fees paid by your employer, WCN has provided you
with a password to enable you to use WCN's ATS to process job seekers
requests and applications. As part of this service WCN also provides
user and technical support and takes appropriate measures to ensure
the service is secure and reliable, and data is backed up.

In using WCN's ATS you

  • Agree to keep your username and password secure (including not
    sharing with others) and agree to inform WCN, as soon as is
    practically possible, if you suspect security has been breached.
  • Agree to use the system in accordance with the 1998 Data
    Protection Act, in particular: only collecting appropriate candidate
    data, processing the data for recruitment only, deleting the data in
    the appropriate time period, and maintaining the privacy and security
    of the data.
  • Recognise that all intellectual property rights in WCN's ATS vest
    exclusively in WCN and agree to act to protect WCN's property rights
    (including not sharing passwords or demonstrating WCN's ATS to others
    without WCN's written consent) and to informing WCN, as soon as is
    practically possible, if you suspect WCN's property rights are being
    infringed.
